Floyd H. Storsved, 83, Moorhead, MN died on Monday, December 28, 2015 in Vibra Hospital, Fargo , ND due to complications from heart surgery.
Floyd was born January 14, 1932 in Hendrum, MN to John and Rachel Storsved. He graduated from Hendrum High School where he met his wife, Dorothy Mahar. He enlisted in the Army and served with the Army Security Agency stationed in Seoul, Korea. During that time he and Dorothy were married in Hendrum, MN on December 26, 1952. After being honorably discharged, they moved to Moorhead , MN.
Floyd worked in the Oil Equipment industry for 43 years, employed by Northwest Oil Equipment and O’day Equipment. He also owned and operated his own business Floyd’s Northwest Oil Equipment, retiring in 1997.
Floyd loved spending time with his family, both at home and at the lake. He enjoyed working on tractors, fixing up cars, basically tinkering with anything mechanical. His community activities included: The two cylinder club, Sons of Norway, Emergency Food Pantry, and most committees and groups at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Moorhead.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy; their 4 children, Mark Sharon, Julee Wayne Lang, Kurt Marilyn, Kelli Tim Traaseth; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Surviving siblings include: John Richard Nida, and Glenora Chuck Hintze.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rachel Storsved and 5 siblings, James, Gladys, Clifford, Alton and Irving.
