Frances K. Fadness

Frances K. Fadness, 90, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Bethany on 42nd, Fargo, ND. Frances was born April 28, 1926, on the family farm near Stirum, ND, to Henry and Elizabeth Wirtz Kempel. She attended school in Crete, ND. The family moved to California for a time before moving back to North Dakota. After returning, Frances worked in Lisbon. On August 3, 1947, she married Donald Fadness. Together they farmed in the Lisbon area until moving to Moorhead in 1966. Frances worked at Moorhead State University in food service for over 20 years before retiring. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, her flower gardens, hand and foot, and doing puzzles. She will be dearly missed.

Frances is survived by her children, Barbara David E., Sr. Pederson of Moorhead, Curtis Fadness of Fargo, Bryan Fadness of Fargo; daughter-in-law, Julie Fadness of Fargo; grandchildren, David Jr. Audra, Kelly Chad, Daniel Nicole, Kimberly Darrell, Kery, Sarah Tony, Kayli, Tyler, Bridgett, Mattie Jacob; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Duane Marge Fadness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Martin; granddaughter, Nicole Rae; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Visitation: Wednesday, January 11, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with prayer service at 7 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral: Thursday, January 12, at 11:00 a.m., in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.

Interment: Moorhead Memorial Gardens
