Frances M. Johnson-Pederson

Frances M. Johnson-Pederson passed away at Bethany on University in Fargo, ND, November 26, 2019.  She was 96 years old.

Frances Margaret Priewe was born to Adoloph and Bertha (Grieger) Priewe on October 19, 1923.  She was raised on a farm in Amenia, ND.

She married Vernon K. Johnson of Leonard, ND, on October 19, 1941 and together had five children.  She married Calmer Pederson September of 1976 and lived on a farm for 32 years by Gary, MN.  When Calmer passed away, she moved to Moorhead, MN, to be closer to her daughter.

Frances is survived by her son, Roger (Kari) Johnson of Rushville, SD; daughters, Patricia (Charles) Brendemuhl of Kragnes, MN, and Kathryn (Steve) Kangas of Spokane, WA;  son-in-law, Tom Potter, of Arizona; brother, Wesley Priewe of Fargo, ND, and sister, Hariette Vining of Fargo, ND; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son; daughter, Peggy Jane Potter; grandson, Ryan Potter; brother, Janis Priewe; sister, Violet Sullivan; sister-in-law, Doris Priewe and brother-in-law, Lorry Vining.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour before the service at Helendale Lutheran Church,  near Leonard, ND.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
