Francis “Frank” Theis

Francis “Frank” T. Theis, 81, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

Frank was born October 10, 1938, to Andrew and Agnes (Killian) Theis in Fosston, MN. He went to school in Fosston, MN.  Frank grew up and worked on the farm until he enlisted in the National Guard, where he served from 1956 to 1962.  He was united in marriage to Leona Brorby on November 23, 1963 in Dilworth, MN. They made their home in Moorhead.  Frank started work with Holman Erection Company in 1956, as an ironworker.  His job took him to many different States throughout the U.S. until his retirement in 1996.

Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 21 in Moorhead. He enjoyed camping, fishing, deer hunting, and spending time with family and friends. In his later years, he enjoyed puzzles and playing card games online with his sisters.

He is survived by his children, Brian (Deb) Theis, Mark (Jill) Theis, Scott (Shelley) Theis, Jeff (Mary Beth) Theis and Lori Theis; step-daughter, Katherine Burtwick; siblings, Lorraine Corcoran, Robert Theis and Kathy Theis; grandchildren, Justin Theis, Andrew Theis, Adam Anderson, Jenson Theis, Tarin Theis and Caleb Theis; great-grandson, Jax Theis; and many other loving relatives.

The family extends a special thank you to Davita for all their wonderful care these past few years. Frank felt like it was his extended family.  He always was suggesting that he and his daughter bake treats so he could take them to Dialysis to share with everyone.
