Frank E. Longtine, 74, of Lake Park, MN died February 13, 2012 at the Veteran's Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Frank was born on February 18, 1937 in Lake Park, MN to Walter and Margaret Proctor Longtine and grew up on a farm in rural Lake Park. He joined the Navy in 1954 and married Rochelle Gold on March 21, 1959. The couple was divorced in 2001. Frank worked for Martin Engineering and later Haukedahl Trucking. In 1979 Frank bought his own truck and became an owner-operator. He put over a million miles on the truck before retiring in 1999. After he retired he was able to pursue his first loves; which were gardening and playing Pinochle. Frank is well-known for the awesome produce he grew.He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by four brothers, Aaron Mary Longtine, Lake Park, MN, Phil Lucy Longtine, Lake Park, MN, Orvis January Longtine, Lake Park, MN and Carson Ruby Longtine, Lake Park, MN; five children, Gigi Doug Newman, Detroit Lakes, MN, Janelle Patnaude, Seattle, WA, Lyn Vince Larson, Audubon, MN, Derek Longtine, Fargo, ND and Giselle Longtine, Bemidji, MN; eight grandchildren, Doug Newman, Alexis Adam Molina, Travis Newman, Adam Patnaude, Danielle Patnaude, Micheal Larson, Nathan Larson and Andrew Longtine; one great grandson, Jeremiah Molina.
