Fredrika C. Monson

Fredrika C. Monson, 91, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018, in Sheyenne Crossings Care Center in Fargo, ND.

Fredrika was born on October 27, 1926 to Harry and Ruth (Johnson) Cooper in Kenmare, ND. Fredrika graduated from Kenmare High and from there attended North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. She was united in marriage to Gordon Monson in 1951 in Detroit Lakes, MN. Fredrika was a secretary for Moorhead State College for many years until her retirement.

Fredrika is survived by her children, Lee (Gail) Monson, Margaret (Gordon) Ferguson, Robert Monson, and Rick (Janet) Monson; grandchildren, Sara (Kyle Carlson) Monson, Abby (Matt) Wetterling, Brian (Jill) Monson, Andy Monson, Gordon (Kelly Rodney) Ferguson, Katy (Zach) Brown, and Timothy (Marissa Dumont) Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Ava Monson, Brooks and Veda Wetterling; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; son, David; parents, Harry and Ruth; and sister, Margaret Cooper.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
