Gary A. Atherton, 60, of Moorhead, MN, died Monday, April 22, 2013 at Sanford Health , Fargo, ND.

Gary Alan Atherton was born on December 17, 1952 in Fargo, ND, to Don and Betty Brunsvold Atherton. He grew up in Moorhead, MN where he graduated from Moorhead State Campus School. After his schooling, Gary started farming in the Moorhead area. He continued to farm for the remainder of his life. Along with farming, Gary enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, and of course his cars.

Gary is survived by his son, Brady Kristin Atherton, Blaine, MN; father, Don Atherton, Moorhead, MN; siblings, Greg Peggy Atherton, Louisville, TX, Judy Louis Bede, Spring Valley, OH and Terry Donna Atherton, Moorhead, MN.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty.

Funeral: Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Visitation: One hour prior to service.

Interment: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead, MN.
