Gary H. Anderson

Gary H. Anderson, 68, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. Gary was born September 19, 1954, to Harlan and Helen (Jacobsen) Anderson in Waukegan, IL. He grew up and attended schools in Wisconsin, Illinois, Colorado and California, where he graduated from high school. The family moved to Moorhead and Gary continued his education at Moorhead AVTI (MN State Community and Technical College) where he received a degree in Automotive. He then attended MN State University Moorhead and received his bachelor’s degree in industrial arts. Over the years, Gary enjoyed his career at Corwin Automotive in Fargo until retiring in 2016.

Gary also enjoyed researching family history, reading, and was a classic car enthusiast. He also collected model cars and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sister, June Anderson; uncles, Harry Jacobsen and Roy (Karen) Jacobsen; aunt, Mavis (Don) Moore; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan and Helen.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 11, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 1:00 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.

Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Lisbon, ND.
