Genevieve M. Carlisle

Genevieve M. Carlisle, 84, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully in Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo, ND, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley and surrounded by her family.

Genevieve Margaret Carlisle was born on November 11, 1930 to Harry A. and Margaret A. Stulz Carlisle in Fargo, ND. She grew up and attended school in Detroit Lakes, Moorhead, Glyndon, graduating from Glyndon High School in 1949. Genevieve worked for Bethany homes for 17 ½ years, retiring in 1997. She enjoyed puzzle books, playing cards and bingo and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by daughters, Ellen Anderson of Fargo, ND; Barbara Cameron of Fridley, MN and Donna Walhood of Minot, ND; brother, Charles Carlisle of Canyon County, CA, sisters, Jeannette Savageau of Moorhead, MN and Carol Conrad Hoff of Valley City, ND; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Charles, George and David; and four son-in-laws, Buddy Anderson, Doug Cameron, Bill Walhood and John Howard.

In lieu flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Visitation: Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
