Genevieve Villiard

Genevieve was born May 9, 1927 in Clay County, Minnesota to Joseph and Eleanor Perkins Blakeway. She grew up near Hawley, MN, where she attended country school. Genevieve was married to William Villiard on March 24, 1943 in Hawley, Minnesota. Following their marriage they farmed for twenty-seven years north of Hawley, MN. Genevieve enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and caring for her family. She is survived by two sons, David Sharon Villiard, Shawano, WI, Dennis Gail Villiard, Shawano, WI; one daughter, Denise Greg Jackson, Moorhead, MN; one brother, Elmer Alfreda Blakeway, Hawley, MN; two sisters, Hyacinth Dick Kronbeck, Moorhead, MN, and Charlotte Grant Haug, Moorhead, MN; 21 grandchildren and 24+ great-grandchildren. Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Joseph & Eleanor; two brothers, William & Virgil Blakeway; and two sisters, Cynthia Anderson and Elizabeth Blakeway.
