George R. Kruger, Jr.

George Robert Kruger Jr. (76) passed away on July 23rd, 2024, at Bethany on University in Fargo, North Dakota. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, uncle, and friend.

George was born in Park Rapids, Minnesota on June 22nd, 1948. He attended Park Rapids High School and graduated in 1966. Following graduation, George enlisted in the Air Force in 1967 and served until 1971. He was united in marriage to Pat (Patricia) Snelling on March 3rd, 1973, and the couple made their home in Moorhead, Minnesota.

George worked for W.W. Wallwork Kenworth in Fargo and retired from there in 2013. His hobbies included walleye fishing, deer hunting, and, especially tinkering in his garage.

He is preceded in death by his father George Kruger Sr., his mother Esther Kruger, his sister Sue Lanhart, and his mother and father-in-law Clarance and Gladys Snelling. He is survived by his wife Pat, his son Randy (Melissa) Kruger, his daughter Stacey Kruger, his three grandchildren Michaela Kruger (Noah Nyquist), Raelynn Kruger, and Samuel Kruger, his sister Mary (Charles) Hawkins, and his 3 nieces and 1 nephew. He is also survived by his furry, faithful, four-legged buddy, Gus.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 10th, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
