Geraldine “Gerry” Wasfaret

Geraldine “Gerry” Wasfaret, 77, Moorhead, MN, died on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Geraldine I. Bachmeier was born on June 8, 1937, in Raleigh, ND, to Zacheus “Sig” and Katherine Loeb Bachmeier. She grew up and attended school in Elbow Lake, MN, graduating from Elbow Lake High School.
Gerry moved to Fargo, where she went to work at DeLendrecies. She married Gene Wasfaret, and they made their home in Moorhead. After her children were born, Gerry went to work at Concordia College Food Service where she worked for many years.
She liked to spend time at the lake, enjoyed crocheting, bingo and gardening, and loved spending time with family.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff Toni Wasfaret, Greg Wasfaret, and James Rene Wasfaret, all of Moorhead; two grandchildren, Corey Wasfaret and Kaley Kupitz; five great-grandchildren, Jaida, Janessa, Isabella, Jack and Owen; three brothers Larry Jenni Bachmeier, Annandale, MN, Bill Mattie Bachmeier, Hurdle, WI, and Tim Bachmeier, Wahpeton, ND; sisters Luella Thiel, Tillie Anderson and Connie Ascheman, all of Lake Havasu, AZ; sisters-in-law Sharon Bachmeir, Prior Lake, MN, Gerry Isrow, Fargo, ND, Beth Wasfaret, Dilworth, MN; and brother-in-law Gilbert Osmundson, Moorhead.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Marianne and Avelina; and brother Gerald.
Memorial Service: Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead. Friends may gather from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday in the funeral home.
