Geraldine L. Johnson, 87, of Fargo, ND, died on Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Elim Care Center.
Jeri was born February 15, 1929, to Erl L. and Rosalia M. Smith Hicks in Page, ND. She graduated in 1947 from Pillsbury High School and was married May 29, 1948 to Louis C. Ohlgren in Page. They moved to Riverdale, ND and then Minot, ND. Jeri and Louis had four children. She graduated from Minot business College and was employed as a bookkeeper by Paul’s Wood Working, Motor Service and Jerry’s Farm Service in Minot. She married Jerry L. Johnson on November 27, 1979, and she gained four step-children. After Jerry’s death in 1996, she soon moved to West Fargo, ND in 1997. She enjoyed crocheting, square dancing, dart league, reading, baking, fishing and watching Minnesota Twins baseball games. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Eagles and Moose Clubs.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Ohlgren and Jerry Johnson; her parents; brothers Fred and Lyle Hicks; and grandchild Nicholas Johnson.
She is survived by her children Patricia Martineau, Champlin, MN, Ronald Joan Ohlgren, Springfield, MO, Roger Ohlgren, Texarkana, TX, and Richard Vanita Ohlgren, Horace, ND; her step-children Leon Trish Johnson, Fargo, ND, Thomas Sheila Johnson, Rhame, ND, Louisa Johnson Mark Olson, Minot, ND, and Evonne Johnson Bob Roth, Tower City, ND; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters Ardith Russell Brudevold, Valley City, ND, Norma Hoiland, Valley City, ND, and Bonnie Richard Swanson, Richville, MN.
Funeral: Friday, October 21, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. Visitation will be one hour before the service in the funeral home.
Interment: Page Cemetery, Page, ND.
