Glay Munson, 91, Detroit Lakes, MN, died on Monday, September 19, 2011, in St. Mary's Regional Health Center, Detroit Lakes, MN.Glay Clemetson was born on January 24, 1920, in Hawley, MN, to Edward and Matilda Stulin Clemetson. She grew up and attended school in Hawley where she was baptized and confirmed in Hawley Lutheran Church, and then moved to Chicago to work in the factories during WWII. Glay married Milo Munson on August 16, 1943, in Chicago, IL, and they lived in nine different states before moving to Detroit Lakes, MN, upon Milo's retirement. Together, they operated Munson's Resort on Toad Lake, near Detroit Lakes. Milo died on November 30, 1984. Glay is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Faulk, Leakesville, MS; brother Toby Marian Clemetson, Sunnyside, WA, four grandchildren, Erik, Wes, Mario, and Shelly; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Gwen, and granddaughter, Teda, who she had been a long-time caregiver for.
