Glenn E. Peterson

Glenn was born in Audubon, MN on October 8, 1923 to Carl and Mary Branden Peterson. He grew up and attended school in Audubon. He entered the military service in May 1943 and was honorably discharged in January 1946. He attended Business College in Detroit Lakes after his discharge. In September of 1950 he married Betty Hamann at New Ulm, MN. He worked for and managed lumber yards for 25 years and then for the City of Moorhead for 15 years until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post 21. Glenn was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church since 1964. He was an usher and also belonged to the Helping Hands Groups. Glenn also served as a Scout Master for a few years. Glenn is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty; three sons, David Rena, Warren, MN, Douglas Janice, St. Joseph, MN and Daryl, Moorhead, MN; two daughters, Debra Colleen, Bemidji, MN and Darlene Jesse, Ozark, MO; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Donna Mae; two brothers, Jay and Roger; two sisters, Marvel Johnson and Hazel Ulrich.
