Glenn E. Weiss, 80, of Dilworth, MN, died Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Sanford Health Medical Center, Fargo.
Glenn Everett Weiss was born on May 14, 1937, in Moorhead, MN, to Oliver and Ann (Snyder) Weiss. He grew up in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School. After graduation, he worked as a farm hand before becoming a bricklayer in the 1960’s, which he did until retirement. He married Verda “Yvonne” Jones on November 28, 1958 and together they had three sons: Dean, Kenneth, and Bradley.
Glenn enjoyed creating lots of family memories at their lake home, his father’s cabin, on Lake Lizzie. At the lake he loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, golfing, and water skiing. He took great pride in his yard and his vehicles and he spent countless hours tinkering around at the lake, keeping things neat and tidy. Always a romantic man, he brought flowers to Yvonne every anniversary and Valentines Day and he loved to dance. His children and grandchildren were all very special to him and he enjoyed attending their activities. He will be dearly remembered as a man of great patience, for his love for his family, and his passion for fishing.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Yvonne, Dilworth; sons, Dean (Kathy), Harwood, ND, Kenneth (Kathy), Dilworth, MN and Bradley (Jill) Weiss, Hawley, MN; four grandchildren, Tiffany, Mariah, MaKayla, and Lance; three great-grandchildren; brother, Ernie Zuehlfdorff; and sisters, Delores Parks, Renee Crary, and Gayle Grillo. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Sharon and Lorraine.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018, at 11:00 A.M., at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead. Friends and family may gather together for one hour before the service.
