Gloria Marlene Reed

Gloria Marlene Reed (Nelson), 86, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020, in Eventide on 8^th, Moorhead, MN.

Gloria was born on November 13, 1933, to Cecil and Francis (Miller) Nelson in Fargo, ND. She grew up in Fargo where she graduated from Fargo High School. She moved to Moorhead where she lived the majority of her life, working for K-Mart. After her retirement, she spent ten years in Arizona before moving back to Moorhead for health reasons.

Gloria enjoyed ceramics, and loved baking, and working with flowers and plants. She also enjoyed decorating the house for all holidays. She especially loved spending time with her family, whether by staying up to the early morning hours with them or spending summer vacations on Turtle Lake.

Gloria is survived by her children, David Reed, Janet Reed, Robert (Barb) Reed, and Donna Reed; grandchildren, Jennifer (Wesley) Wateland, Jaimie (Nate) Paulson, Charlie (Claire) Reed, and Tasia Reed; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenny (Jean) Nelson and Jerry Nelson; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil, and Francis; daughter Diane Reed; and siblings, Doug, and Diane Nelson.

A private family memorial service was held on August 20, 2020, at 2:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Final resting place will be at Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 3:00 P.M.
