Gordon D. Bennett

Gordon D. Bennett, 83, of Lake Park, MN, died Friday, June 12, 2015, at home under the care of family and Hospice of the Red River Valley. Gordon was born April 11, 1932, to Herbert and Esther Schmidt Bennett. He grew up in Pelican Rapids, MN, where he graduated from high school. He continued his education at DeVry University in Chicago, IL. On August 3, 1952, he married Geneva Braseth. Together they made their home in Minneapolis. Gordon worked as a technician at Honeywell for 35 years and later moved to Lake Park, where he most recently resided. He enjoyed his time outdoors, hunting and spending time with family. He will be greatly missed.

Memorials preferred to Park Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Geneva; son, Gary Kathy; granddaughters, Kristina Brad Fann, Jessica Steve Guillotel; two great-grandsons, Liam and Judah Fann; brother, Robert Joyce; and niece and nephew, Lorie and Glen Bennett.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 20, at 11:00 a.m., with memorial gathering one hour prior to the service in Park Lutheran Church, rural Hawley, MN.

Interment will follow at Park Lutheran Church Cemetery.
