Grace E. Anderson

Grace E. Anderson, 96, of Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Eventide on Eighth in Moorhead.
Grace was born July 21, 1920, near Rollag, MN, to Emil and Gina Landmark. She grew up and attended school in Bagley, MN. On July 31, 1939, she married Hugo Anderson. Together they made their home in Moorhead until retiring to Lake Ida. Grace moved back to Moorhead in 1992 and later into Eventide Linden Tree Circle apartments in 2010. Over the years, Grace enjoyed cooking, especially Lefse and doughnuts. She also enjoyed quilting and needlework; dancing on Saturday nights and when unable to dance herself she enjoyed watching “Polka Spotlight” on TV. Above all Grace loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Grace is survived by her sons, Richard, David Lenay all of Moorhead, daughter, Debbie Mary Zappetillo of St. Paul; grandchildren, Joshua Lisa Anderson, Heather Anderson all of Fargo, Marissa Adam Stranik of Lakeville, Matthew Bobbi Anderson of Moorhead; and four great-grandsons, Aaron Anderson, Hugo and Gus Stranik, and Jaxon Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo; and all of her brothers and sisters. She was the last of her generation for our family.

Suggested memorials include Hospice of the Red River Valley or Eventide Senior Living Communities.

A visitation will be Saturday, May 20, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11:30 a.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Interment will be at Cormorant Lutheran Church Cemetery.
