Gudrun D. Knutson

Gudrun D. Knutson, 90, of Hawley, MN, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, North Dakota. Gudrun was born September 10, 1915, in Cromwell Township, near Hawley, Minnesota to Albert and Tillie Hillestad Johnson. She grew up and attended rural school in Cromwell Township, then graduated from Hawley High School. She worked at the Hawley Bakery and the Manchester Biscuit Company of Fargo. Gudrun married Bennet Knutson on November 8, 1941 at Lysne Lutheran Church, near Hawley, Minnesota. Following their marriage they farmed in Parke Township. Bennet died October 13, 2005. She continued to live on the farm. She was a member of Grong Lutheran Church. She is survived by three sons, Milan Elsie Knutson, Fargo, ND, Darrel Knutson, Hawley, MN and Glenn Gwen Knutson, Hawley, MN; four grandchildren, Kristen Knutson, Sara Knutson, Jennifer Andel & Jon Knutson; two sisters, Valborg "Vollie" Eppler, Hawley, MN, and Anna Harry Jackim, Moorhead, MN; one sister-in-law, Ione Johnson, Hawley, MN .
