H. Clifford Anderson

Clifford Anderson, 97, of Hawley, MN, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, MN. Clifford was born February 22, 1923, near Lake Park, MN, to H. William (Willie) and Minnie (Johnson) Anderson. He attended country school before moving to Hawley, MN. Following school, he began working on the farm and honing his carpentry skills. On December 1, 1945, Clifford married Irene Ramstad in Hawley. Together they made their home just outside of Hawley. He continued his carpentry in Hawley and in 1959, they moved in to the home Clifford built. Over the years, he enjoyed using his talents to help others. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always seemed to have a smile on his face. When he had time, he loved being outdoors, gardening and fishing, watching the Vikings and the Twins. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, hard work, honesty, integrity and always finding time for his family. He will be dearly missed.

Clifford is survived by his children, Bill (Evaughn) Anderson of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Linda (Darrel) Fiedler of Two Harbors, MN, Ken (Pauli) Anderson of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Dave (Bobbi Schmidt) Anderson of Fort Collins, CO; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Elvin Anderson, many nieces and nephews and his loyal four-legged companion, Brandy.

Clifford was preceded in death by his wife, Irene; and sister, Doris Mattson.

A private family service will be held at this time. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at Eksjo Lutheran Church in Lake Park at a later date.

Interment will be at Eksjo Lutheran Church Cemetery.
