Hamlet N. Olsen

Hamlet was born November 27, 1918, in Hawley, MN, to James and Anna Celina Kronbeck Olsen. He grew up and attended rural country school. Following his schooling he continued to farm. On December 5, 1946, he married Adeline Haugen in Moorhead, MN. Together they started a family and settled in Hawley where they farmed until moving to Moorhead in 1998. Hamlet is survived by his son, Dennis Olsen of Hawley; daughter, Marilyn Dave Lacher of Moorhead; grandchildren, Kimberly Jason Rauk of Alexandria, MN, Kristen Noonan of Moorhead; and great-grandchildren, Ellie Rauk, Lindsey Rauk, Andrew Rauk, and Lucy Noonan.He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline; siblings, Freda Rodke, Ole Olsen, Dorothea Tangen, Andrew Olsen, Adolph Olsen; and half sister, Jeanette Drescher.
