Harlen G. Jensen

Harlen G. Jensen, 78, of Audubon, MN, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Good Shepherd Communities in Sauk Rapids, MN. Harlen was born on March 19, 1938 in Spring Prairie Township, MN to Peter and Louise Eppler Jensen.
Harlen graduated from Glyndon High School in 1957 and from there joined the National Guard. On October 14, 1961 he was married to Gladys Littler Jensen in Cass Lake, MN. Harlen worked the family farm all the while holding many different professions including trucking and transportation and electronics repair. Harlen was always known to be working on a project and loved to stay busy. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, he loved to dance and work in the garden. He was a quiet individual, but loved to visit and enjoyed taking care of people, animals, and getting lost in nature. Harlen was a truly kind and generous individual and family was considered most important to him.
Harlen is survived by his wife, Gladys; children, Melanie Ricq Schatz-Pattay, and Ryan Jensen; grandchild, Gwenevere Schatz; brothers, Clifford Adeline Jensen, Darrel Jean Jensen, Dennis Arlene Jensen; sisters, Lois Jensen, and Loris LeRoy Sandahl; sister-in-law, Joan Jensen, and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Lester, Harvey, and Vernon Jensen.
Visitation: Friday, February 24, from 5:00-7:00PM with a prayer service beginning at 7:00PM at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead, MN.
Service: Saturday, February 25, at 11:00AM at Hawley United Methodist Church in Hawley, MN.
Interment: Saturday, February 25, following services at Spring Prairie Township Cemetery in Rural Glyndon.
