Harlow Lester Braun

Harlow Lester Braun, 85, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, in Tender Hearts and Helping Hands Senior Living, Dilworth, MN.

Harlow was born on January 2, 1933 in Glen Ullin, ND to Walter and Ida (Schelle) Braun. Harlow graduated from Hawley High School. He was united in marriage to Marlys Garvin on March 17, 1956 in Moorhead, MN. He drove the delivery truck for 7-UP and worked in trucking for Koch Industries and Fairmont Creamery. Harlow retired soon after Fairmont Creamery closed.

Harlow lived to fish during the summer and winter months. He enjoyed woodworking, collecting old tractors and was nearly inseparable from his grandson, Jared.

Harlow is survived by his wife, Marlys; children, Deb (Dave) Mackner, Deanne (Bob) Kalsow, and David (Kelly) Braun; grandchildren, John (Emily) Mackner, Jordan (Sydney) Mackner, Jared (Jennifer) Mackner, Ross Kalsow, and Reid Kalsow; great-grandchildren, Ella, Mara, and Elena; siblings, Richard (Kelsey) Braun, Tim (Claudia) Braun, Eldon Braun, Pat Vesperman, and Eldeine (Dave) Kaldor; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ida; and brothers, Melvin and Robert Braun.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 29^th at 1:30 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead, MN with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Moorhead Memorial Gardens in Moorhead following the service.
