Harold Christopher Whitten

Harold Christopher “Kit” Whitten, 64, of Moorhead and Buffalo, MN, passed away Monday, July 21, 2020, at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Kit was born May 26, 1956, in Minneapolis, MN, to Richard and Catherine (Loucks) Whitten.

Kit had lifelong interests in all types of fishing, hunting and in archery. He especially loved time with his four grandsons.

Kit is survived by his daughters, Nicole (Dean) Guennigsmann, Grandsons Easton and Deklan, Watertown, MN and Jamie (Jesse) Kral, Grandsons Preston and Landon, Clear Lake, MN, and six siblings: Richard Whitten Jr., Sammamish, WA; Vernon Whitten, Fargo, ND; Benjamin Whitten, Minnetonka, MN; Thomas Whitten, Glenwood City, WI; Susan Jones, Savannah, GA and Elouise Kivineva, Kauhajoki, Finland.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family plan a private teleconference in the next several weeks and then an in-person family gathering at “Whitten’s Acre” on Gull Lake next summer.
