Harold P. Christianson, 73, of Hawley, MN, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Harold Paul Christianson was born on November 25, 1940, in Hawley, MN to Albert and Charlotte McGregor Christianson. Harold was born and baptized in Hawley, MN. He was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN. In 1955, the family moved to Hawley and Harold graduated in 1958 from Hawley High School. Harold retired from working in the lab at American Crystal Sugar for over 40 years. After retirement, he enjoyed his weekly walks with his cousin Don Nelson. Harold was a member at Hegland Lutheran Church. He especially enjoyed his Wednesday nights at the HLS Parish Center. Harold also had a passion for growing his irises and fern peonies. Most of all, Harold loved to traveling to visit his family.

Harold is survived by his two sisters, Carol and Donna Christianson, both in Fairfax, VA; brother, David Christianson Shawn Marie Whiting in Blaine, MN; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dale and sister, Betty.

Visitation: Monday, June 9, 2014, from 5:00- 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

Funeral: Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in Hegland Lutheran Church, Hawley, MN.

Interment: Hegland Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hawley, MN.
