Harold "Rusty" Casselton, 53, Moorhead, MN, died on December 30, 2007, in Rochester Methodist Hospital, Rochester, MN.Rusty was born on May 8, 1954, in Moorhead, MN, to Sherman and Margaret Meyer Casselton. He grew up and attended school in North St. Paul, MN, and then graduated from Moorhead State University now MSUM in Moorhead, MN. He taught high school in Roseau and Red Lake Falls, MN. Rusty earned his Master's in Speech / Communication at NDSU in Fargo, ND with continued education at the University of MN. Rusty taught at Concordia College in Moorhead for 22 years. He was currently the chair of the Film Studies Department at Minnesota State University Moorhead, where he has taught since 2001. Rusty married Cindy Larson on July 30, 1983 in Kongsvinger Lutheran Church, Donnelly, MN, and they made their home in Moorhead. He was very active in the community, served on several boards and loved his church. Rusty had a passion for film preservation and restoration and his work is known around the world. His first love though, was for his family – "his girls", Cindy, Hannah and Amanda.He is survived by wife, Cindy, and daughters Hannah and Amanda, all of Moorhead; three sisters, Roxanne Granlund, Hurst, TX, Suzanne Bjork, Shoreview, MN, and Pattianne Greg Demaray, Oakdale, MN; sister-in-law, Anita Nelson, St. Paul. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dean, and his mentor, Ted Larson.Memorials may be given to the: Rusty Casselton Memorial Fund, Film Studies Department, MSUM, 1104 7th Ave S., Moorhead, MN 56563
