Harold W. ’Hap’ Broich

Harold "Hap" W. Broich, 83, of Lake Park, MN died on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at St. Mary's Regional Health Center, Detroit Lakes, MN under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.Hap was born on October 27, 1921 in Big Stone City, SD. He grew up around the McGregor, MN area. In 1943 he married M. Joyce Lisk and raised three daughters. In the early 1950's the family moved to Alaska and Hap worked for the state of Alaska for many years. In 1970 he married his wife Annabelle who preceded him in death.He had many friends in Arkansas, Oregon, Alaska, and Minnesota.Hap is survived by three daughters, Barbara DeHerrera, Redding, CA, Judy Bates, Lake Park, MN, Sandra Broich, Anchorage, AK; two brothers, Kenneth Marty Broich, Goose Bay, OR, Dick Anna Broich, Camas, WA; one sister, May George Weimans, Vancover, WA; eleven grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Annabelle; one brother, Dale; one grandchild; and two great grandchildren. The family of Hap request that donations be made to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
