Harry G. Olson

Harry Gerhard Olson, 89, of Lake Park, Minnesota, formerly of Hawley, Minnesota, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, Minnesota. Harry G. Olson was born October 23, 1915 to Henry T. and Gurine Jetvig Olson at Hawley where he grew up and attended school. He was baptized and confirmed at Hegland Lutheran Church. Harry married Vivian Romer on February 3, 1939. He farmed for a while with his brother, Orville, in the Lake Park area. He had various jobs and lived in Dilworth and Lake Park before moving to Audubon in 1968. Harry moved to the Hawley Manor Retirement Home in November of 2001, then to Sunnyside Care Center in 2002. Harry was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, three sisters and a daughter. He is survived by three nieces, Maydelle Harold Dolva, Hawley, MN, Carol Duane Stordahl, Ada, MN, and Beverly Ken Myhre, Crete, IL; one nephew, Ronnie Mary Olson, Hawley, MN; a sister-in-law, Violet Olson, Ulen, MN; and special neighbors, Jim & Lynette Kiehl, Audubon, MN.
