Harvey A. Pfau

Harvey A. Pfau was born on November 11, 1937 in Glenburn, ND, to Marvin and Beulah Pfau.  He moved to Minot at the age of 4 and graduated from Minot High School in 1956.  He served in the Army from 1957-1959.  On December 12, 1959 Harvey married Joyce Gundberg at Federated Church in Fergus Falls, MN, and they enjoyed 59 years together.

Harvey trucked cattle for a number of years before going to work at Minot Paving for 20 years. He also worked for the Minot Daily News and did snow removal at the Minot Air Force Base.  In 1992 they moved to Fergus Falls and Harvey trucked for Metz Bakery for 7 years and then hauled beets for American Drivers for another 8 years before retiring in 2003.  He and Joyce moved to Moorhead in July of 2007.

Harvey loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time fishing, golfing and family celebrations.  He and Joyce traveled south throughout the year for the past 25 years.

He is survived and loved by his wife, Joyce; sons, Mitchell D., Jason R., and Chad M. Pfau; grandson, Randy L. Pfau, Minot; granddaughters, Dainya, Shaina, Hailey, and Abigail Pfau, Fargo; great-granddaughter, Isabella Joy, Minot; great-grandson, Ayven, Fargo; sister, Marlyn Moll, Wisconsin; brother, Paul, Florida; sister-in-law, Carol J. Swenson; brothers-in-law, Charles (Jean) Gundberg and Warren Gundberg of Vergas, along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Troy Harvey; sister, Paulette Mason Bruley; grandparents; mother-in-law, Elsie Gilbertson, father-in-law, Maynard Gundberg, and brother-in-law, Robert A. Swenson, Sr.

Memorial service: Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM with a visitation beginning at 12:00 in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Burial will be in Rosehill Memorial Cemetery in Minot, ND, in the near future.
