Helen M. Hedelund

Helen M. Hedelund was born February 25, 1918, in Northwood, IA, and died Thursday, August 23, 2012, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN, at the age of 94. The daughter of Bertha and Ray E. Bogenrief, she moved to Moorhead at the age of two. She attended Moorhead Public Schools and graduated from Concordia College in 1939. She taught Home Economics in Wabasso, Nicollet, Hitterdal and Moorhead, all in Minnesota. Helen also worked as a Home Economics Agent for the Minnesota Department of Agriculture in Big Stone County in the office at Ortonville, MN.She was married to Stanley Schueller. He died on March 31, 1976. Helen later married Charles Hedelund on December 27, 1980. He died on October 7, 2002. She resided at Linden Tree Circle for five years before moving to the Nursing Home in 2010.Helen is survived by stepson, John Tess Hedelund of Henderson, NV; step-granddaughter, Joyce; nephews, Greg January Schueller, Mark Judy Schueller; nieces, January Ron Green and Jill Don DuRose; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands.
