Helen M. Holtan

Helen M. Holtan, 91, of Moorhead, died Friday, April 15, 2005 in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.Helen Muriel Maanum was born February 2, 1914 near Benson, MN where she grew up and graduated from Benson High School. On August 2, 1940 she married Milton S. Holtan in Milbank, SD. They lived in Jamestown, ND where they raised their 4 children until 1965 when they moved to Redwood Falls, MN. In 1976 they moved to Bloomington, MN, where Milton died in 1987. In 1994 Helen moved to Park Rapids, MN where she enjoyed summers at her cabin on Potato Lake which they built in 1968. She is survived by two sons; Mark Annette, Munster, IN, Paul Vicki, Moorhead, MN; one daughter, Mary John Craft, Anaheim, CA, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, John.
