Helen Olek

Helen Olek, 98, Hoschton, GA, died there on Tuesday, August 26, 2014.

Helen was born on July 20, 1916, in Ellendale, ND, to John and Sarah Flynn. She married Oscar Olek in 1936 and they made their home in Felton, MN, where they farmed for 57 years. She had been living in Georgia since 1994.

Helen is survived by her brother, Peter, Ellendale, ND; children Raymond and Marge Jereszek Olek, Brainerd, MN, Vernard and Rose Jereszek Olek, Moorhead, MN, Oscar Jr. and Diane Harris Olek, International Falls, MN, JoAnne Olek and Ron Dawson, Hoschton, GA; daughter-in-law Nancy Rockstad Olek, Fargo, ND; seventeen grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; children Kenneth, Helen Joyce, and John.

Visitation: Thursday, August 28th 2014, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Funeral: Friday, August 29, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.
Interment: Ada Cemetery, Ada, MN.
