Helen V. Swenson

Helen Violet Swenson was born April 18, 1912, to Alfred and Clara Christianson Nelson in Burke County, North Dakota. The family moved to Lake Park, MN, when she was a child. She attended elementary and high school in Lake Park, graduating in 1932. She was united in marriage with Archie Longtine on April 18, 1936. Archie died in November of 1966. She later married Ernest Swenson on June 20, 1970. Ernest passed away in 1980. Helen was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to cook, sew and crochet. She worked in the school cafeteria in Lake Park and also at Sunnyside Care Center for several years. She was a charter member of Strandvik Lutheran Church. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Inez, Alva and Edna; and one brother, Norris.She was a beloved aunt to three nephews; three nieces; and numerous great nephews and great nieces. Memorials can be made in Helen's name to Strandvik Lutheran Church.
