Henry "Hank" George Boman was born on October 8, 1924 in Adams, ND, to Oscar and Thelma Egar Boman. When Hank was a young boy, the family moved to rural Lake Park, MN. He graduated from Lake Park High School. Hank was a farmer and all around repairman known as "Mr. Fix-it". He worked at Vigen Hardware doing various jobs. He was also self-employed as a television and radio repair man. He enjoyed building miniature scale model steam engines and carousels. Hank was a lifetime active member with the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion, where he displayed his models in miniature land. He helped on various projects such as the carousel and the Pabst engine. In 1990 he was featured on their annual belt buckle. Hank was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners, the Lake Park Historical Society, and a active member of Eksjo Lutheran Church. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar in 1970, and Thelma in 1990.
