Hulda A. Norby

Hulda A. Norby, 91, of Moorhead, formerly of Hitterdal, MN, died Thursday, October 10, 2013 in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Hulda was born on May 21, 1922 to Albert and Mabel Lindret Norby. She grew up near Hitterdal, where she attended school. Hulda was baptized at Salem Lutheran Church in Hitterdal where she was a lifelong member. She became a housekeeper and caregiver for the Maresh brothers, living at their farm North of Hitterdal for many years with no running water or electricity. Hulda continued to live on the farm after the last brother died, until the early 1990’s when she moved to Hawley Manor. After a brief hospitalization she moved to Golden Living Center in Moorhead, MN, where she had lived since.

Hulda was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral: Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service.

Interment: Salem East Cemetery, Hitterdal, MN.
