Ida Pihlgren Skatvold

Ida Pihlgren Skatvold, 93, of Perham, MN, formerly of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Northwinds Memory Care in Perham. Ida Marie Josephine Jensen was born February 17, 1927, to James and Lilly (Nelson) Jensen near Edmore, ND. At an early age, the family moved to Brocket, ND, where she grew up and attended school. Ida later married Robert A. Pihlgren at Lakota, ND. Robert died in 1972. Ida later married Merle Skatvold and they made their home in Moorhead. Ida was kind, fun loving, witty and loved to dance. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling and especially spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Ida is survived by her sons, Gerald and Phillip Pihlgren; grandchildren, Becki, Jennifer, Kody, Tony, Lezlee, Michael, Kristin; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her step-sons, Paul (Linda) Skatvold, Michael (GaNe’) Skatvold; step-grandchildren, Erik (Karina), Anne (George), Kristin, Daniel (LeAnn), Benjamin, Andrew (Kjersten) and Charles; and ten step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert A. Pihlgren and Merle Skatvold; sons, Robert L. and Gregory Pihlgren; step-son, Philip Skatvold; and sister, Lila.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 21, at 2:00 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN. Friends are welcome to join the family via live stream on Ida’s obituary page at www.wrightfuneral.com
