Imo was born September 19, 1926 to Jens and Anna Lade Holland in Brayton, IA. Her family lived in Brayton for a few years before moving to Anita, IA. She grew up and attended school there, graduating from Anita High School. Following high school she trained to be a teacher and when finished, she taught the following five years in several of the rural schools. On January 27, 1947 she married Norman Griffin in Atlantic, IA. They farmed for five years near Anita, IA before moving to Grandin, ND. Together they made their home and raised their family in Grandin, ND, farming until 1990. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church, loved to travel and spend the winters in Arizona, but most of all loved spending time with her family.She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Norman; daughter, Patsy Keith Hochgraber of Grandin, ND.; grandchildren, Josh Amy Hochgraber of Detroit Lakes, MN, Ben Hochgraber of Bismarck, ND, and Katie Hochgraber of Enterprise, AL; brothers, Chet Marj Holland of Atlantic, IA, Spencer Betty Holland of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Gladys McCrory of Atlantic, IA; and sister in law, Peggy Holland of Greenfield, IA.Imo was preceded in death by her son, Bob; parents, Jens and Anna; brother, Dean; and brother in law, George McCrory.
