Inez V. Kronbeck, 94, of Hawley, MN, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, MN.
Inez Enervold Kronbeck was born to Bernie and Mary (Olsen) Enervold in Gwinner, ND, on April 2, 1924. Her father later purchased a farm northwest of Gwinner where she attended country school. She attended high school at Stirum, ND, where she graduated in 1941. Inez attended the State Normal and Industrial School in Ellendale, ND, where she later received her certificate to teach country school at Rutland, ND. For two years she taught country school near Forman, ND. Inez married Ray Kronbeck on June 17, 1945. They lived on a farm in rural Hawley until 1993 when they purchased a home and moved into Hawley, MN. Raymond passed away at the Viking Manor Nursing Home in 2005.
While on the farm, Inez and Ray belonged to Lysne Lutheran Church of rural Hawley for 48 years. Inez was active in circle, Ladies Aide, and taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. After moving to Hawley in 1993, they joined Hawley United Methodist Church.
Inez enjoyed neighborhood card parties when they were on the farm, both neighbors and relatives got together, a great time for all.
Ray and Inez enjoyed taking trips with family and Senior Citizens group to Nashville, Canadian Rockies, Ice Follies, Medora and a Vikings game. Inez also enjoyed rides around the countryside with Ray.
Inez was a loving mom, grandma and great-grandma, but most of all she was a loving wife to Ray. Her family meant so much to her, the number one joy of her life. Inez and Ray were married for 60 years.
Blessed be the memory of Inez, she will be missed dearly by those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Berneth Orn and her husband Arthur, brother Bert and his wife Enne; sister, Mary Burnside and her husband Wesley; two infant sisters; and two brothers-in-law Barney Williams and Bill Russell.
Ray and Inez were blessed with two children, Raynelle (Nile) Anderson, David (Carol) Kronbeck and Rodney who died shortly after birth. They have three grandchildren, Michelle (Troy) Jepson, Robert (Kylie) Anderson and Sara (Scott) Rossow; five great-grandchildren, Cade Jepson, Alex, Brooke and Karli Rossow and Arwen Anderson; two sisters, Eunice (Calvin) Peterson of Dilworth, MN and Joyce Russell of Bemidji, MN; one brother, Duane (Jan) Enervold of Moorhead, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m., in Hawley United Methodist Church, Hawley, MN.
Interment: Hawley Cemetery, Hawley, MN.
