Ingrid O. ’Dolly’ Marty

Ingrid "Dolly" O. Marty, 86, of Moorhead, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.Dolly was born on July 9, 1920 to Jens and Marie Hedahl Renden in Manfred, ND. She grew up in Manfred and attended school in Fessenden, ND, graduating in 1936. On August 16, 1947 she married Court Marty in Mohall, ND. Court died on July 17, 2000. They lived in various places in the Dakotas before moving to Moorhead in 1960. She worked as a bookkeeper for Minnesota Migrant Health Services until her retirement. Dolly was very involved with many activities and groups at First Presbyterian Church in Moorhead. She enjoyed baking and sewing. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.She is survived by two sons, Chuck Marty, Fargo, ND, and Alan Marilee Marty, Baxter, IA; one daughter, Carol Roger Wirkkunen, Vadnais Heights, MN; one brother, W.E. "Pete" Peterson, Blue Springs, MO; one sister, Margaret Sprague, White River Junction, VT, and three grandchildren, Ben, Peter, and Emily.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Janet Marty; three sisters, Marion Cook, Norma Cook, and Dolores Renden.
