Ione M. Glawe

Ione was born May 17, 1929, at home in Warren, MN, to Emil and Gertrude Defenbaugh Gollnick. She grew up, attended and graduated from Warren High School. She then continued her education with Teacher Training and was a teacher in a rural school for one year. Ione later got her Bachelor's Degree from Moorhead State College and a Master's Degree from Peabody College in Nashville, TN. She was a school Librarian in Sebeka, MN, for two years, Hoyt Lakes-Aurora, MN, for two years, Perham, MN, and later at Moorhead Elementary Schools. On October 15, 1978, Ione married Stan Glawe in Vergas, MN. Together they made their home in Vergas for a time before settling in Dilworth. Ione is survived by three nieces and seven nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Thelma Anderson, Callie Rutz, Marcella Storie; and brother, Emil Gollnick, Jr.
