Irene Dahl

Irene G. “Skippy” Dahl, 65, of Moorhead, MN passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND, after a long battle with cancer.

Irene Georgia Dahl was born on October 5, 1948, in Littlefork, MN, to Donald and Maxine Nord Dahl. Irene grew up in International Falls, MN, where she was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church. She graduated from International Falls High School and continued to reside there throughout her life. Irene worked in the kitchen at the Holiday Inn for many years. Most recently she moved to Moorhead, MN, where she resided at home with her mother. She also became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Irene was an avid reader, who enjoyed visiting the library. She also had a love for cats and baking. Her delicious sugar cookies will be missed by all, which according to her family were the best in the world. Irene was very kind hearted and never said an unkind word about anybody. She will be missed dearly by her family.

Irene is survived by her mother, Maxine Dahl, Moorhead; sister, Susan Carlson, Fargo; nephews Christian and Erik Carlson and niece, Bethany Carlson. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald.

Funeral: Friday, August 22, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
