Jacob L. “Jack” Kraft

Jacob L. Kraft, 85, Dilworth, MN, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in the Palliative Care Unit of Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Jacob Lazerous “Jack” Kraft was born on November 12, 1932, in Bismarck, ND, to Peter and Pauline (Jochim) Kraft.  He grew up and attended grade school in Selfridge, ND, before moving to the Black Hills of South Dakota.  Later he mined in Deadwood Falls, SD, but moved to Minnesota in 1967 to farm.  On December 28, 1976, Jack married Judy Wiser and in 1978 they moved to Dilworth where he went to work for the railroad before starting his own carpet cleaning business.

Jack enjoyed woodworking, fishing and gardening in his free time. He will be missed.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Kent, Todd, Chad and Danny; daughters, Leaha, Tamara, D’Juana, Kyra and Jennifer; step-sons, Jon, Lance, James and Romain; step-daughter, Mia; brothers, Joe, John, Peter and Matt; 37 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Theresa, Stephena and Walburga; brothers-in-law, Oscar, Joe and Harlin; sister-in-law, Amelia; grandsons, Lucas and Erik and great-grandson, Daytyn.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM with a visitation beginning at 10:00 in St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Dilworth, MN.
