Jacqueline M. From, 90, of Moorhead, died Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo.
Jacqueline Marie Cofell was born May 1, 1926, in Edgeley, ND, to Oliver and Mary Warne Cofell. After graduating from high school in Edgeley, she moved to Fargo, ND where she worked as a receptionist for Dakota Clinic for some time. On June 6, 1954, she was united in marriage to Richard From, and they made their home in Edgeley until moving to Moorhead in 1964. Jacque was a devoted mother and wife, and she primarily stayed at home to raise their 4 children. She was very family-oriented, always there for her husband and children, whether it be making special treats for after school or cooking a hot meal for the family.
Jacque enjoyed camping and spending time at the lake, travelling and going on cruises with Richard. She loved playing cards, crafting and doing ceramics. For many years, Richard and Jacque spent winters in Arizona where they would make many lifelong friends. Jacque was very active in First Presbyterian Church of Moorhead as well as the church they attended in Arizona. Her caring and giving nature would lead her to welcome many foster care children into their home over the years. While in Arizona, Jacque would also volunteer her time at nursing homes, reading for the residents who were unable to do so for themselves.
Jacque is survived by her daughters, Gail John Bartkowiak, Moorhead, Jan Farrell Turner, Fargo, and Tamme Chad Marsh, Greeley, CO; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Todd; her brother, Joaquin Coffell, and her beloved husband, Richard, who she was happily married to for 61 years.
