Jacqueline “Jackie” M. Reinke

Jacqueline “Jackie” M. Reinke, 75, of Hawley, MN, died Sunday, August 17, 2014, in Evergreens of Moorhead, MN.
Jacqueline Meridythe Thorud was born on May 24, 1939, in St. Paul, MN, to Lawrence and Alice Engberg Thorud. She grew up in Medford, MA, where she graduated from Medford High School in 1957. Jackie met Raymond Reinke during his service in the US Army, and moved back to St. Paul while he finished his service. On July 9, 1960, they married in St. Paul, MN. Following their marriage they resided in Rosemount, MN, and in 1974 they moved to Hawley, MN.
Jackie worked at Bentley Dental Office in Hawley as a bookkeeper and receptionist until her retirement. She then worked part time at Wahl Drug Store and volunteered with Reach. Jackie enjoyed her Saturday mornings having coffee hour with her friends. More than anything, Jackie loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed bringing them for lunch at the Whistle Stop. Jackie will be greatly missed by all.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Karen Curt Alm, Hawley, MN; two sons, Kevin Michelle Reinke, Zimmerman, MN and Dan Julie Reinke, Pine City, MN; brother, Richard Nikki Thorud, Medford, MA; grandchildren, Matthew Alison, Ashley, Brittany, Mason, Austin and Nikki; and six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lavera Larson and Joan Reinke.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother-in-law, Glen Reinke.

Memorial Gathering: Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:15 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
Memorial Service: Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
Interment: Hawley Cemetery, Hawley, MN.
