Jackie’s journey began on April 9th, 1966, born to Ronald and Ida Mortenson Andersen in Moorhead, MN. She grew up in Glyndon, MN, where she graduated from Glyndon-Felton High School in 1984. Growing up, Jackie loved spending time with her family and friends. Some of her favorite memories were made spending time at her Aunt Marie’s and at the family’s annual 4th of July party.

The most important people in Jackie’s life were her family. If you were to ever see her in public, chances are she would have had either her Husband or one of her Children by her side. The closeness and bond she had with her family was one that most could not understand. Most recently, the addition of her Daughter-in-law and two Grandchildren brought even more joy to her life.

Jackie was one of the most caring people, with an infectious laugh and smile that could light up any room. Over the years she was a Mom to many and was known as “Mama Jackie” to all of those she held dear. Jackie would never miss an opportunity to attend family functions or community events. She lived a full life, where a spontaneous trip to the casino or to hang out with loved ones was never out of the question. She loved a good competition and was always up for a game of pool, darts or bean bags.

Jackie loved taking trips with her family. The past few years she looked forward to the annual trip to WeFest with her Husband and kids, where she was known by many in the Lake Sallie campground.

The last year and half of Jackie’s life brought her much hardship. Through that hardship Jackie taught those around her about strength and what it truly meant to live life and how precious time can be.

Jackie’s journey ended in her home on August 31st, 2017 surrounded by those that loved her the most. The impact she had on those around her will be something that will continue to be passed on from those she touched.

Jackie is survived by her Mother, Ida Andersen Mortensen of Glyndon, MN; her Husband, Mike Fischer of Glyndon, MN; her Children, Nicole Miller of Fargo, ND, Justin Fischer Kayla of Glyndon, MN, Andy Fischer of Glyndon, MN, Christopher Fischer of Glyndon, MN and Taylor Fischer of Moorhead, MN; her Grandchildren Aubrey and Jackson Fischer of Glyndon, MN; her Sister, Lynn Magnuson of Fargo, ND.

She is also survived by many family members including: her in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, many cousins and close friends that she thought of as family.

She was preceded in death by her Father; Ronald Andersen, Her Mother and Father-in-law, Darwin and Gloria Gray Fischer, as well as other family members that she held dear.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 6, from 5 – 7 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral will be Thursday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m., at Glyndon Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
