James A. ’Jim’ Stein

James A. Stein, age 69, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2009, in Manor Care Health Systems, Fargo, ND.James Arnold Stein was born on October 9, 1939 in Fargo, ND to Jacob and Anna Loe Stein. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1958. He served in the North Dakota Air National Guard in Fargo for six years. He married Lois Martin on April 22, 1961 in Moorhead, MN. Together they had three children, Jeffrey, Jay and Jonathan. He attended Dakota Business College, completing a two year course in accounting in 1964. James went to work for Red River Hatchery in 1964 and later for Myhro Poultry Farms until 1986.James is survived by two sons, Jay of Glyndon, MN and Jonathan of Fargo ND; two sisters, Margaret Dessel of Visalia, CA and Barbara Stewart of Stockton, CA; three brothers, William Stein of Stockton, CA, Robert Shirley Stein of Agawam, MA and Kenneth Arleen of Moorhead, MN; special friend, Sharon Cook of Fargo, ND and several nieces and nephews.Jim was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jeffrey Stein; sisters, Ruby Flores, Marion Beecher and Frances Maier and one brother, Jacob Stein Jr.Memorials are preferred to Bethesda Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN in memory of Jeffrey Stein.
