James Allen Stall

James Allen Stall, 75, of Hitterdal, MN, died unexpectedly at his home Sunday, November 8, 2020.

James was born July 9, 1945, in Fosston, MN, to Harold and Rose (Omer) Stall.  He grew up and graduated from high school in Mahnomen, MN and then went on to attend bricklayer school. James was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.  He was awarded two purple hearts and was honorably discharged.

After discharge James was united in marriage to Bonnie Hendrickson on July 18, 1970.  James then attended Moorhead State University where he earned a degree in accounting.  He worked alongside his dad and brothers in the family brick laying business for many years.

James is survived by his wife, Bonnie, Hitterdal, MN; his sons, Craig (Kristine) Stall, Philippines, Ryan (Holly) Stall, Moorhead, and Barry (Jessica) Stall, Moorhead; brothers, John (Kristi) Stall and Richard (Ann) Stall; sister, Carol (Mike) Bjerk, and grandchildren, Kristian, Kristan,  Kira Stall, Lexie Stall and Deni Larson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Rose, and his in-laws, Oswald and Bernice Hendrickson.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 13, 2020, at 11:00 A.M., with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., at Wright Funeral Home in Hawley, MN.  Burial will take place following the service at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Mahnomen, MN.  The service will be livestreamed beginning at 11:00 at www.wrightfuneral.com, where there is also a video tribute and online guestbook.
