James F. Lomsdalen

James F. Lomsdalen, age 82, of Detroit Lakes, MN passed away on October 10, 2022 in Fargo, ND.  Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda; his children, Lori (Dan) Rieber, Jodi (Brad) Zeltinger and beloved grandchildren Anna and Rachel Zeltinger; sister, Shirley Berndt and sister-in-law, Elaina Lomsdalen.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Alice Lomsdalen; sister, Darlene Czichotzki; brother-in-law, Marvin Czichotzki; brother, Robert Lomsdalen; sister-in-law, Sheryl Lomsdalen and brother-in-law, Delwood Berndt.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963.  He then enjoyed a 33 -year career with Wesco and spent retirement years at Lake Ida and later years in Detroit Lakes.  He enjoyed time with family, gardening, watching the Twins, Vikings and the NDSU Bison.

Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. , with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead, MN.  Visitation will continue on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., at Cormorant Lutheran Church, 14314 County Highway 4, Lake Park, MN 56544.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Cormorant Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be livestreamed here on James’ page.
