James V. Nelson

James V. Nelson, 89, of Moorhead, MN passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 of heart complications.
Jim was born May 27, 1926, in St. Paul, MN to Silas and Helen Gulden Nelson. He grew up in the Mankato area and served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946.
Jim married Fae Leeman on May 8, 1949 in Sioux Falls, SD. They spent most of their married life in Fargo, ND where he worked as a truck driver for Northwest Beverages and Bergseth Brothers. He enjoyed his retirement spending time at the lakes with his friend Donna and taking up the hobbies of quilting and woodworking.
He leaves behind two sons; Donald Shirley Nelson, Glencoe, MN, and Ronald Toni Nelson, Fargo, ND, four grandchildren; Eric, Fargo, ND, Corey Julie, Sartell, MN, Lori California, BJ Kristen, Fargo, ND and seven great grandchildren; Destiny, Cameron, Daven, Evan, James, Lydia and Fuel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fae and special friend Donna Stedje.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN, with a visitation one hour before.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
